These are the rental rules for Renting Wheels, LLC.

Terms

Agreement to Terms

By booking or operating the vehicle, GUEST agrees to be bound by these Terms and all applicable policies incorporated by reference. In the event of a conflict, these Terms control.

Eligibility and Authorization

GUEST must meet all age, licensing, and eligibility requirements. Only GUEST and any pre-approved drivers may operate the vehicle. GUEST is fully responsible for all actions of any authorized driver.

Insurance

GUEST must maintain and provide valid proof of primary automobile insurance that extends coverage to rental vehicles and includes liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage as applicable. Such insurance must remain active for the entire duration of the rental period. Failure to provide proof of adequate insurance coverage, or provision of insufficient or invalid coverage, constitutes a material breach of this Agreement and may result in denial or cancellation of the booking without refund. In the event of any loss, damage, or claim, GUEST’s primary insurance shall be the first source of coverage. Any deficiency, denial of claim, or lapse in coverage shall be the sole responsibility of the GUEST, who agrees to be personally liable for all resulting damages, losses, and liabilities up to and including the full value of the vehicle. For high-performance and exotic vehicles, including but not limited to the McLaren, GUEST is required to carry primary insurance with minimum coverage limits of no less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for physical damage (collision and comprehensive). Proof of such coverage must be provided and verified prior to the start of the rental.

Penalty

Violations of rental terms may result in trip cancellation, damages fees, and administrative penalties up to $250 per violation.

Payment

Payments must match the guest's name on the reservation. Cash payments may be accepted under specific conditions.

Additional Charges

Guests are responsible for all charges including airport fees, vehicle recovery, and missing keys/fobs.

Guest Responsibilities

GUEST refers to the primary person who booked the trip and any authorized secondary drivers. GUEST must provide a valid phone number and treat the vehicle and any extras well, ensuring timely return in the same condition. Only approved drivers may drive the vehicle.

Scope of Use

GUEST may access the rental vehicle only during the trip period and must return it on time to the specified location. GUEST must present a valid driver's license and exercise reasonable care. Renting Wheels may terminate the trip for misuse and require the vehicle’s return. Seat belts and child safety laws must be adhered to, and the vehicle must not be taken out of the state without written authorization.

Driver Requirements

The primary driver must pick up and return the vehicle, and only approved additional drivers may operate it.

Prohibited Use / Operations

The vehicle must not be used for: 1. Any purpose without company consent. 2. By anyone under 21 or without a valid license. 3. For hire, towing, racing, illegal activities, or while impaired. 4. Off-roading or driving on unpaved roads. 5. Carrying hazardous materials or exceeding capacity. 6. Reckless driving, speeding, or parking in restricted areas.

GPS / Tracking Disclosure

GUEST consents to GPS and telematics tracking of the vehicle for purposes including location monitoring, safety, and recovery. Disabling or interfering with tracking systems may result in trip cancellation and additional fees.

Policies

Minimum Rental Age

GUEST must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to book and operate any vehicle. Certain vehicles are subject to stricter eligibility requirements. High-performance and exotic vehicles, including but not limited to the McLaren, require GUEST to be at least twenty-five (25) years of age. These requirements are absolute and non-waivable. For vehicles equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, including but not limited to the Rivian, the following conditional requirement applies: GUESTS under the age of twenty-five (25) must operate the vehicle with all manufacturer-installed safety systems fully enabled and engaged at all times, including Driver+ features such as automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist.GUESTS aged twenty-five (25) and older may not disable or misuse safety systems in a manner that is unsafe, contrary to manufacturer guidance, or inconsistent with platform rules. The following constitute Prohibited Uses and material breaches of this Agreement: Operation of a vehicle by any person who does not meet the applicable age requirements;Misrepresentation of age or driver eligibility;Disabling, circumventing, or failing to maintain required safety systems where mandated;Use of the vehicle in a manner inconsistent with manufacturer safety guidance or platform rules. Any Prohibited Use voids all protection plans, insurance coverage, and liability limitations to the maximum extent permitted by law. In such cases, GUEST assumes full financial responsibility for all damages, losses, claims, and liabilities arising from the rental, including total loss. A Young Renter Fee may apply to eligible drivers aged twenty-one (21) through twenty-four (24) for vehicles that permit such use. Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund, vehicle repossession, and additional fees.

Smoking and Narcotics

All vehicles are non-smoking and narcotic-free. Violations will incur a $200 cleaning fee plus additional costs for any damages.

Animals

Animals are prohibited in Renting Wheels' vehicles unless authorized. Violations will result in a $150 administrative fee plus cleaning fees and potential trip cancellation.

Occupants

GUEST must not exceed the number of passengers authorized by the vehicle's seating capacity. Excess occupants will incur a $100 fee per unauthorized passenger.

Fuel / Charge

McLaren takes premium gas only. Any lower grade will cause damage to the engine. Make sure to press the gas cap back on after refueling otherwise the check engine light will come on. Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at the start of the trip. GUEST must return any hybrid or electric vehicle with a battery charge level equal to or greater than the level at the start of the reservation, or at a minimum of ninety percent (90%) charge. During the rental period, GUEST agrees to maintain the vehicle’s battery charge above fifteen percent (15%) whenever reasonably practicable and to avoid allowing the battery to fall to critically low levels. Failure to return the vehicle at the required fuel/charge level will result in charges for fuel/charge costs plus a $15 convenience fee, and any associated costs necessary to restore the vehicle to the required condition.

Cleaning Fee Levels

Renting Wheels provides basic cleaning. Additional fees will apply for moderate to severe dirt, bug debris, stains, or spills beyond the basic cleaning. Cleaning fees vary based on the condition of the vehicle upon return: Moderate Cleaning ($50) - Includes mud, sand, moderate bug debris, minor odours, and small spills. Heavy Cleaning ($100) - For moderate stains, heavy odors (e.g., smoke), and extensive bug debris. Severe Cleaning ($150) - Involves steam cleaning or full detailing due to significant damage. Pet Hair Removal ($150) - Specifically for extensive pet hair. Multiple Issues Cleaning ($250) - Applies when multiple cleaning levels are required.

Vehicle Care

GUEST must not use any chemicals or cleaners on the vehicle's interior. Violations will result in liability for any resulting damages. GUEST is liable for any damage to the vehicle's tinted windows and will be charged for repairs at market value.

Towing, Roadside Assistance, Tire Policy

GUEST is responsible for the safe operation and condition of the vehicle during the rental period, including tires, roadside incidents, and any required towing or recovery. Towing Authorization and Designated Drop Location In the event towing or vehicle recovery is required, GUEST must notify HOST immediately and obtain authorization prior to arranging any towing service. HOST reserves the exclusive right to designate the towing provider and/or dispatch a towing service directly at GUEST’s expense. All towing must be directed exclusively to a location designated by HOST (“Designated Drop Location”). GUEST is not authorized to direct or permit the vehicle to be towed to any other location without prior written consent from HOST. If towing is initiated by law enforcement, a property owner, or is required to address an immediate safety hazard, GUEST must notify HOST as soon as reasonably practicable and provide all available details. GUEST remains responsible, at their sole cost, for arranging any subsequent tow necessary to deliver the vehicle to the Designated Drop Location. Flat Tires and Tire Damage GUEST is responsible for all tire damage occurring during the rental period, including but not limited to punctures, sidewall damage, blowouts, curb damage, and road hazard damage. In the event of a flat or damaged tire: GUEST must safely stop the vehicle and notify HOST immediately;GUEST must not continue operating the vehicle on a flat or severely underinflated tire;GUEST may only repair or replace a tire with prior HOST approval, unless immediate safety requires temporary action.If equipped with a spare tire or inflator kit, GUEST may use it solely to reach a safe location or service provider. Continued operation beyond that purpose is prohibited. For high-performance or specialty vehicles (including but not limited to the McLaren), any tire replacement must match the original manufacturer specifications (brand, model, size, and rating). Temporary repairs (e.g., patches or plugs) may be prohibited at HOST’s discretion. Costs and Liability GUEST is financially responsible for all costs incurred during the rental period, including but not limited to: Towing, recovery, storage, and impound fees;Tire repair or full replacement;Mounting, balancing, and related service costs;Secondary damage resulting from continued operation after a tire issue (including wheel, suspension, or drivetrain damage). Prohibited Use and Breach The following constitute material breaches of this Agreement: Unauthorized towing or towing to a non-approved location;Failure to notify HOST and obtain authorization when required;Driving on a flat or severely underinflated tire;Unauthorized tire repair or replacement. Any such breach may result in termination of the rental without refund, additional recovery and administrative fees, denial of coverage, and full financial liability for all resulting damages and losses.

McLaren - No Automatic Car Washes

Do not take the McLaren through an automatic car wash. This will scrape and damage the lower body of the vehicle.

McLaren - Convertible Top Restriction

Convertible top must only be operated while vehicle is fully stopped.

GPS / Tracking Disclosure

The vehicle is equipped with GPS and telematics systems that collect location and usage data during the rental period for operational, safety, and recovery purposes.

Cancellation

Cancellation / No-Shows

Cancellation or No Show: Cancellation fees apply after specified periods. No-shows incur full reservation costs.

Taxes, Surcharges & Fees

Guests pay applicable taxes, surcharges, and additional fees specified in the rental agreement.

Late Returns

GUEST must return the vehicle at the agreed-upon end time and designated location. Any late return without prior written approval from HOST will result in an additional full day’s rental charge, regardless of how much time the vehicle is overdue. If the vehicle is not returned or contact is not maintained, HOST may initiate recovery procedures at GUEST’s expense and terminate the trip without refund. Repeated or excessive late returns constitute a material breach of the rental agreement and may result in additional penalties and loss of booking privileges.
